The Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Di Ann Sanchez, founder/president of a HUB certified firm focused on creative and nontraditional Human Resources programs and services.
Sanchez has more than 25 years of experience, is a certified senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) and has held executive positions with both private and public companies.
In 2000, Sanchez’s Human Resources group at Delta Technology won Atlanta’s Society of Human Resource Management HR Professional Excellence Award. She was named by Hispanic Business magazine as one of the “Top 50 Hispanic Women in Business” in 2001, and as one of the “Top 80 Elite Hispanic Women” in 2002, and “Top 100 Latinas in America” in 2003 and 2004. In July 2002, she was highlighted in the Hispanic Journal Magazine recognizing her accomplishments in Human Resources and Diversity at American Airlines. In 2007, she was featured in “USA Today” seeking to improve the current process of employment verification, and encouraging comprehensive immigration reform. Ms. Sanchez nationally educates and speaks to business leaders on “Attracting, Engaging and Retaining the Hispanic Workforce” and “Why Can’t We All Just Get Along! – Diversity and Generations in the Workplace”.
Sanchez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and is currently pursuing her PHD in Organizational Management and Human Resources from Capella University. She currently teaches the SHRM Essentials of Human Resources for Tarrant County Community College (TCCD) and is a national instructor for Institute for Applied Management (IAML).
Sanchez develops test questions for the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and is active in The Society of Human Resources (SHRM) on various volunteer panels and most recently served on the “HR Initiative for a Legal Workforce”. Furthermore, she currently serves as an active participant of “Executives in Action,” a national non-profit organization that provides pro bono consultants to charitable agencies and is a volunteer counselor at the Fort Worth Business Assistance Center which promotes new businesses and entrepreneurs.
